Description

Request A/E firm provide all required labor, material, equipment, and site investigations and develop construction documents to include contract drawings and specifications. Work shall include Design Development, requiring the AE to make site investigations necessary to thoroughly evaluate the project area. Construction Documents will be accomplished from the design development findings in the site investigations, the development of the design from the project meeting with the services involved, and the construction specifications and cost estimates and reviews per Schedule B Special Provisions. AE shall provide As-Built Drawings from information on marked up drawings provided by the contractor of construction. The AE shall provide Construction Period Services of adequate support for the VA on overseeing the construction through the review of project submittals, consultation services with advice, answering RFI's, questions, sketches and cost estimates and provide adequate representation during Pre-Bid and Pre-Construction Conferences. AE shall make periodic scheduled site visits during the construction and Final Inspections on this project. The project consists of the replacement of existing windows in Building #1 A, B and C Wings with Energy Efficient Fixed Windows to correct identified FCA Deficiencies. Renovation will require architectural changes to existing walls and finishes for preparation on installation of new windows. A/E shall develop all demolition, architectural drawings and details, specifications and provide a detailed construction cost estimate. A/E firm shall comply with NFPA, NEC and Life Safety Codes, VA Design Criteria, construction standards and other required construction documents for the development this design. Estimated time of completion is 180 calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is $1,950,000. Area of consideration is restricted to within five hundred (500) miles of the Jack C Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401-1318. This requirement is a set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
