Description

Request A/E firm to provide all required labor, material, equipment, and site investigations to develop construction documents to include contract drawings and specifications for the development of all contract documents. Work includes construction period services and site visits. Project includes the following: 1.HVAC evaluation of approximately 8000 square foot of laboratory space to include evaluation of 4 air handling units currently serving the space. Design goal is to have one (1) new air handling unit serving Laboratory, Microbiology and Histology. Other air handlers will be removed or downsized. Existing supply ductwork will be reused to the maximum extent. VAV terminal units shall be evaluated and replaced if feasible. Design to include heating and cooling load calculations to include heat output of all laboratory equipment. 2.HVAC evaluation shall include evaluation of required exhaust for all laboratory areas. Microbiology area exhaust should be adequate. Laboratory and Histology were originally designed with return air and are deficient. Design goal is to use existing return air ductwork and tie into new exhaust fan to be installed on C-Wing roof. 3.Design for new variable speed drives on Air Handling Unit and exhaust as suitable to the project and controls installation to centralized Niagara digital controls server for new AHU and VAVs. Digital controls shall have a graphical user interface at the existing Niagara Digital Controls server. 4.Design shall include provisions for any temporary HVAC required in order to replace HVAC items. 5.Design shall include installation of new 42 circuit distribution panel and feeding with emergency power for 1E09-1 generator. Design shall include circuits from the new panel to feed lab equipment for which there is no available power plus ~20% spare circuits in the laboratory. 6.Design shall indicate phasing to allow all lab areas to continue services while construction is underway. A/E shall develop all demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical and fire protection drawings and specifications for these disciplines and detailed construction cost estimate as required. A/E firm shall comply with NFPA, NEC and Life Safety Codes, VA Design Criteria, construction standards and other required documents for the development of these documents. Estimated time of completion is 150 calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is $897,000.00. Area of consideration is restricted to within five hundred (500) miles of the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401. This requirement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. You must be verified at time of award to receive the contract. Please submit three (3) copies of your current SF 330 to the attention of David Brown, Contracting Officer (90c), Jack C.
