Description

Signed Exception to Fair Opportunity The NOAA NESDIS Office of Systems Development (OSD) and the Office of Satellite and Product Operations (OSPO) Network has a mission critical requirement to add two (2) Private Line T1 circuits in support of the pre-launch testing of a new satellite. OSPO utilizes two of the three contractors under the NETWORX Universal contract to meet Alaska diverse routing requirements, as the Alaska Command and Data Acquisition Stations (CDAS) interfaces with the Suitland and Wallops sites, and maintains a balance of Primary and Alternate circuits. The Fairbanks CDAS has just moved into a new building on the same property, and direct fiber connectivity into the new Fairbanks CDAS is needed Installation of the following services is requested for late January, 2012. Award was made to AT&T as they are the only Networx vendor with direct fiber connectivity inot the new Fairbanks CDAS building. Additional information regarding the decision to utilize a follow-on award to AT&T can be found on the attached Exception to Fair Opportunity.
