Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division has fifty-five Basic Ordering Agreements in place to provide Basic R&D support for 14 different technical discipline areas; Strategic Systems Hardware, Conventional Ammunition, Special Operations Hardware, Electronic Warfare Systems, Radar Systems, Energy and Power Systems, Acoustic Sensors, Microwave Technologies, Microelectronic Technologies, Infrared Countermeasures and Pyrotechnics, Defense Security Systems, Electronics Depot, Electro-Optics and Obsolescence Management. The BOAs period of performance covers the period from 17 Mar 2012 through 16 Mar 2015. Ordering under the BOA is conducted on a competitive basis in accordance with FAR 16.703(d). Contractors interested in being considered for a Basic R&D BOA with NSWC Crane should review a copy of the attached original solicitation N00164-09-R-JQ69 and submit a proposal in accordance with the requirements identified therein by 2:00 p.m. on February 23th 2012. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. It is the responsibility of the offeror to submit offers electronically to the POC at NSWC Crane by the date and time identified herein. The POC is Mr. Jesse Mechinus, Code CXMS at Tel: 812-854-3554 or email: jesse.mechinus@navy.mil. Reference the solicitation number N00164-09-R-JQ69 when responding to this notice. This synopsis will fulfill the BOA ™s requirement to issue a synopsis on an annual basis in accordance with FAR 16.703 (c)(2).
