OFFICE ADDRESS: USPFO for Utah, 12953 South Minuteman Drive, Draper, UT 84020-9286 SUBJECT: Sun-Foil Aircraft Sunscreens Inc. SOLICITATION NUMBER: W90M8P1810901 QUOTE DUE DATE: NLT 2:00 P.M MST January, 2012 POC: Ray Workman, Contract Specialist, dallas.ray.workman@us.army.mil DESCRIPTION: This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source award under the authority of FAR 13.501 to Sun-Foil Aircraft Screens Inc. We needs the Aircraft Sunscreens for the AH-64 Long Bow Apache Helicopter that have suction cups, and mylar outer surfaces, these have shown to be the most effective for the Apache Helicopter. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition. Firms having the ability to provide this service should notify Ray Workman in writing via e-mail at dallas.ray.workman@us.army.mil by 2:00 P.M. MST on 30 January, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SPECIFICATIONS: The USPFO for Utah has a requirement to purchase the following equipment: 1. Twenty (20) window type shields to protect against head and sun damage for the AH-64 Long Bow Apache Helicopter. 2.Suction Cups attached to the shields to keep them from dislodging from the window after being placed there. 3.Mylar outer surface, gold in color to match existing shields.
