- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for up to 400 MicroRoentgen/MicroRem Survey Meters (uRSM). The survey meter would be used for x-ray radiography surveys without having to compensate by taking an open-window reading. In addition, the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) has a requirement to perform space control surveys to ensure personnel do not receive radiation doses from NNPP sources distinguishable from natural background radiation. This procurement has been designated as a set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 334517 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a competitive procurement and award a firm fixed price contract. The system is expected to be a commercial off-the-shelf item which has been modified to meet the requirements in the RFQ. The solicitation will be made available electronically via the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizops.com) and the Navy Electronic Commerce website (www.neco.navy.mil). A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available. The solicitation will be issued in January - February 2012. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instructions.
