Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Vetrans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Ann Arbor Healthcare System, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Specific Reference Lab services in support of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. NAICS code is 621511, size standard is $13.5 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Prometheus Laboratories Inc., 9410 Carroll Park Dr., San Diego, CA for this requirement due to Prometheus holding patents on these tests/testing methods. The contractor shall provide all supplies, labor, knowledge, techniques, supervision, test equipment and analysis necessary to perform the specific reference lab tests requested by the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105 for the period from contract award date through September 30, 2012 with four (4) one year options. This procurement will be conducted with the procedures in FAR part 12. Proposals are due no later than 3:00PM (EST) on the 3rd of February 2012.
