- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for two ingots of singlecrystalline silicon. These ingots must have been grown with the CZ process, boron-dopedwith a resistivity of 0.005 to 0.020 ohm-cm. They must be 99.9999% pure. Slip is allowed.The dimensions of each of the two ingots are:Length: 250mm +/- 2mmWidth: 250mm +/- 2mmThickness: 50mm +/- 2mmAny edge break on sharp corners must be less than 0.8mm.The ingots must be annealed in a kiln for 12 hours to a temperature of 1,250 degreescentigrade before delivery.The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC _2005_-54The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335999.The offeror shall state in their offertheir size status for this procurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to NASAs GSFC is required within 8 weeks or less ARO. Delivery shall be FOBDestination.Offers for the items(s) described above are due by January 20, 2012 4:00PM EST via emailto shawn.g.watts@nasa.gov and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to thisCenter, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (ifapplicable), estimate shipping cost, taxpayer identification number (TIN),identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized companyrepresentative. Offerors are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449,Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL:http://server-mpo.arc.nasa.gov/Services/NEFS/NEFSHome.tml Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (JUNE 2008), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference.
