- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Social Security Administration (SSA) Region 9, San Francisco Region has a region wide requirement for Secure Confidential Shredding Services for various locations throughout the states of California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, secured vehicles, materials, supervision and other related supplies and services for secure confidential shredding services on-site and off-site at various Social Security Administration (SSA) Offices in the above states. SSA will award ONLY one (1) firm-fixed price contract with a twelve (12) month base year period or less, and four (4), successive, one year options, if exercised, following a 45 day phase-in/transition period. This acquisition is set-aside 100 percent for Total Small Business concerns. Any responsible small business source may submit an offer and be considered by the Agency. We will not accept or consider any offers received from other than a small business source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 562111. The size standard for this NAICS code is $12.5 million. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12- Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15.101.2. The Request for Proposals (RFP), Number is SSA-RFP-R09-12-1001 and is schedule for release on or about January 9, 2012. If there is a subject to change, proposals are still due no-later-than 30 calendar days OR LESS thereafter. All parties interested in submitting an offer should download the solicitation from the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. We will accept all interested offeror proposal packages by email, mail or hand delivered. No fax proposals will be accepted or acknowledged. Prospective offerors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for an award. Offerors must register with CCR's at www.ccr.gov, and obtain a Data Universal Numbering System number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). All contract awardees will have to undergo and meet the agency Security Suitability Requirements. NO telephone, fax or email requires for hard copies of the solicitation or amendments will be accepted, provided or mailed. All and ONLY technical questions will be accepted ONLY by FAX and MUST be in writing. Questions regarding the solicitation are due January 20, 2012. There will be only one amendment issued in regards to the questions and answers received on this RFP an you can download the document from the Federal Business Opportunities website. We will not accept request for additional information received prior to the publication of the RFP. It is the responsibility of the interested party to monitor and frequently visit FEDBIZOpps to ensure that they stay abreast of the most current information. The Contracting Officer or the Contract Specialist WILL NOT provide any advance notification when changes are made to the solicitation.
