- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for this requirement. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the date of this combined synopsis/solicitation. The Department of the Air Force PKOA Contracting Office at Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to contract for a fireworks show for the 2012 4th of July Celebration with options for three additional years. This contract will be awarded using Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF). - The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is the lowest price technically acceptable. - All quotes should be submitted by 20 January 2012 by 4 p.m. PST. Offers may be submitted by email to the address below or by fax (661)275-7889 or (661)275-9602. - Thoroughly read and review the solicitation and statement of need when preparing your quotes. Email all questions regarding this acquisition to richard.barzaghi@edwards.af.mil. -Interested parties who believe they can meet all the requirements for the items described in this synopsis are invited to submit in writing a complete quote including delivery FOB destination (Edwards AFB, CA 93524). Offerrors are required to submit with their quote with enough information for the Government to evaluate the minimum requirements detailed in this synopsis. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: 1. Technical Acceptability 2. Price - "This is a Non-appropriated fund purchase and it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United States Government. Nonappropriated funds are generated by the military community through the sale of goods and services and the collection of fees and charges for participation in military community programs. This purchase does not involve federal tax dollars."
