- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) SEEKS EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR PARKING SPACE IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS No. VA-101-12-R-0043 The United States Government, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) seeks to lease approximately 875 parking spaces in close proximity to the Baltimore VA Medical Center, located at 10 North Greene Street Baltimore, MD 21201. The spaces will be for use as a commuter hub for employees, Veterans, and other stakeholders traveling to the Baltimore VA Medical Center from the surrounding areas. Estimated Lease Commencement is July 31, 2012. The parking requirement is for approximately 875 spaces which must be available from 6:00 am “ 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at any location within or bordering the delineated area specified below. Parcels that border the delineated area on either side will also be considered. It is anticipated this requirement will be fulfilled at multiple locations, however in no event will VA consider an offer of less than 100 spaces at a single location. The lease term shall be for a firm term of ten (10) years. The parking spaces provided need to be in a safe, secure location, with convenient access to the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The proposed location needs to be properly zoned to allow for commuter/commercial parking. Parking offered does not have to be designated garage space and any reasonably paved, surface parking accommodations, meeting the size and location requirements will be considered. The site must be paved and operational prior to the anticipated date of occupancy. The successful Offeror will be responsible for all costs associated with paving the site and providing security. The method of security will be determined upon physical inspection of the site. The successful Offeror will also be responsible for ensuring that the premises provides sufficient lighting for a commercial parking facility. Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing or electronically and should include: Building/Garage name, address and age; total parking spaces being offered, hours of operation, proposed monthly and annual rental rate per space. Brokers or legal representatives submitting property must show written acknowledgement and permission to represent the property. (Note: The Government will pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value).
