Description
Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision and expertise necessary to renovate interior space in Building 7 for the Oncology and Chemotherapy Clinics at the VA Health Care System, Alexandria, Louisiana. Construction shall include renovation of 3,312 SF of existing interior space at two separate locations on the fourth floor of Building 7. Construction shall include infection control by use of temporary rated barriers, rated doors/ frames and sealed container rubbish removal in addition to creating a negative air flow in area of work to prohibit contamination of adjacent areas. Demolition of existing spaces shall include the removal of resilient flooring and base, millwork, metal stud walls, masonry walls, plumbing equipment, acoustical/ plaster ceilings, mechanical equipment including air handling unit, fans and associated ductwork and piping. Moisture is infiltrating existing windows and needs to be corrected prior to constructing new interior partitions. All caulking at exterior of windows shall be removed and replaced. All existing water damaged plaster at interior of windows shall be removed, replaced and treated with a chemical waterproofing. Interior partitions will consist of gypsum wall board on metal drywall studs complete with bumper guards, chair rails, wall protection, etc. Hollow metal frames with wood veneer clad doors shall divide the spaces. Doors will be equipped with necessary hardware. Suspended perforated acoustical ceiling panels and gypsum ceilings will help provide sound attenuation throughout suites. Interiors will be furnished with ceramic tile and resilient flooring with resilient base. Construction includes all electrical lighting fixtures, power and lighting circuitry along with special wiring systems. Rough-in wiring and coordination of the government provided systems include telephone, data, cable T.V., nurse call and access system. Fire alarm and smoke detection system shall be included in electrical work. Mechanical work shall include air conditioning and heating equipment, plumbing fixtures complete with supply and drainage systems. Bathroom accessories are included in the architectural division. Installation of fire protection system shall be included in the Mechanical Division. All work shall be performed in accordance to the project plans and specifications. The dollar magnitude is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. NAICS 236220 applies-size standard is $33.5 million. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). All offerors must be listed as 'verified' in the VIP datatbase, available in VETBIZ at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must also be registered at CCR http://www.ccr.gov under NAICS 236220 to submit offers and be eligible for award. You must register as 'Interested Vendor' at the fedbizopps website for solicitation. In order to receive e-mail notification of amendments, you must register in fedbizopps 'To Receive Notification' for amendments. Amendments to this solicitation will not be mailed, but will be posted at the fedbizopps website. Offerors are responsible for obtaining solicitation from fedbizopps and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation.
