Description
The US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Acquisition Management (EPA/OAM) is increasing the Level of Effort (LOE) on the Superfund Sample Management Office (SMO) contract (EP-W-06-046) during the current and subsequent periods of performance (Award Term 1 & 2, respectively) by a total of 60,800 hours. This requirement is necessary to continue work under the existing contract. The reason for this increase in the LOE is due to new work related to the primary task areas included in the SMO Performance Work Statement (PWS) that was unforeseen and not identified when the services were originally being procured in FY2006. All work included in the increase of LOE falls under the current SMO PWS and involves the development of information technology applications to provide for optimal processing of SMO's work under PWS Task Areas 1, 2, and 3. EPA has the responsibility of maintaining a sufficient level of professional, scientific, technical, and administrative support for specific and evolving programmatic needs, including production processes, to EPA's Analytical Services Branch (ASB). The primary programs for this support are EPA's Contract Laboratory Program for routine analytical services, the Non-Routine Analytical Services Program and analytical services to support evolving Agency needs for non-traditional environmental sample analyses. Posted in accordance with FAR 6.305. http://www.epa.gov/oam/j&a.htm
