Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is FM500012860272 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-01-10 12:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Elemendorf, AK 99506 The U.S. Army MEDCOM North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. ALL OR EQUAL PRODUCT PROPOSALS SHALL INCLUDE ALL SALIANT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LINE ITEM OR EQUALLY PROPOSED PRODUCT OR THE PROPOSAL SHALL BE DETERMINED AS NON-RESPONSIVE. The ESG-AFU 100 system shall meet or exceed the technical specifications identified below. All items must be new. Used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered for award. Nomenclature: ESG-AFU-100 System (Electrosurgical generator and Dedicated footswitch for AFU-100 peristaltic water pump). Model No: ESG-AFU-100 System; WB950300 (Water bottle holder for AFU 100); WB950242 (Dedicated footswitch for AFU-100 peristaltic water pump). Performance/Operating Conditions: The ESG-AFU-100 system is used for flushing the gastrointestinal tract and used for cauterizing any gastrointestinal bleeds. Characteristics: The ESG-AFU-100 system is designed to better flush the gastrointestinal tract alleviating the need for manually flushing. This allows for better view, decreasing the chances of polyps being missed. This machine also allows the Gastroenterologist to cauterize any gastrointestinal bleeds, minimizing blood loss during a procedure or gastrointestinal bleed. Olympus ESG-100 is designed to work together with the peristaltic pump AFU-100. The foot pedal of the generator can also be used to activate the pump. With its maximum flow of 600ml/min this roller pump is useful to clean the treatment site through the endoscopes? instrument channel and to flush through EndoTherapy instruments. The AFU-100 offers fast tube insertion, three programmable preset flow rates, as well as a variable flow rate, and follows the easy-to-use concept of the ESG-100. Documentation shall be provided in English in hard copy and on CD/DVD ROM. WARRANTY: The contractor shall warrant the entire system for a period of at least one year. The warranty must include unlimited telephone/e-mail support for questions regarding operation. All costs including parts, labor, travel, and other expenses necessary to repair the system will be borne solely by the contractor at no additional cost to the U.S. Government., 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, U.S. Army MEDCOM North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. U.S. Army MEDCOM North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
