- MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. This advertisement serves to aid in determining market interest and capabilities for this prospective requirement. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of contractors capable of providing specialized coatings to the J52-P-408B Turbojet engine components for the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Jacksonville, FL. The purpose of these specialized coatings is to improve gas path airflow through the compressor/diffuser sections of the engine and provide corrosion protection for these coated parts. The J52-P-408B Turbojet engine powers the Navy/Marine Corps EA6B œProwler attack aircraft. The Prowler ™s primary mission is to provide electronic countermeasures protection for US and Allied aircraft during offensive air strikes. Currently the FRCSE is using PWA 110-21 coating, which is a Basecoat/Topcoat process, using a PWA 595-1 (SermeTel 962 basecoat), and PWA 561-1 (SermaSeal 565 TCS topcoat). It is anticipated that any resulting requirement would be solicited as a firm-fixed-price (FFP), requirements type contract, with a NAICS code of 332812 and size standard of 500 employees. If your company is interested in competing for future requirements, perspective vendors are encouraged to submit a SAR package in accordance with the Joint Aeronautical Commanders Group Aviation Critical Safety Item Management Handbook of 16 Mar 2011, and Joint Aeronautical Commanders Group Aviation Source Approval and Management Handbook of 16 Mar 2011, for approval; or provide proof that they are an approved source of supply within the requirements of the above manuals in order for the Government to make an adequate assessment of the contractor capabilities. In addition, vendors should provide their business size as well as a point of contact. The response date and time for all technical documentation is 18 January 2012, at 12:00pm (Eastern Standard Time). The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information. Interested parties should send all technical packages via email to oulay.vorachack@navy.mil, Contract Specialist. If the contractor is currently providing or has previously provided identical support to a government agency other than FRCSE, then the contractor shall provide sufficient documentation, as part of the contractor ™s package, which will allow the Government to verify the contractor ™s information and determine the contractor ™s ability to provide the required support. Any questions regarding this requirement should be addressed in writing to the Contract Specialist. NOTE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. NO REIMBURESEMNT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING A RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
