- Announcement of Opportunity SFB014 Grading and Roadways Haleakalā, Maui, Hawai'i The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), on behalf of the National Solar Observatory, is soliciting Request for Quotes (RFQ) from contractors licensed in the State of Hawai‘i to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, services, and equipment required to grade and pave temporary access and roadways in support of the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope project. Work includes the removal and disposal of existing asphalt pavement and associated concrete, grading roadways, and installing temporary paving of roadways and associated concrete V-ditches and swales. Work also includes the accumulation and disposal of all debris and waste materials resulting from grading and paving work. This effort is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111-5) and the requirements set forth at 2 CFR Part 176, "Award Terms for Assistance Agreements that include funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5," shall be applied. Firms interested in receiving the RFQ documentation for this procurement should send a one page letter of interest on firm letterhead and proof of Hawaiian licensure to the Contracts Officer, AURA-ATST Project by either fax (520-318-8500) or email (ATSTproposal@noao.edu) and must be received not later than Friday, December 16, 2011, 3:00 PM MST. The letter of interest should reference Announcement of Opportunity No. SFB014 and include physical mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address (if available) for a contact person. Upon receipt of a letter of interest, qualified firms will be provided access to the RFQ documentation.
