Description
This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition “ one responsible source. The applicable NAICS Code is 611420. The USMC Regional Contracting Office “ National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to Learning Tree International of 1831 Michael Faraday Drive, Reston, VA 20190-5304 for a package of 12 computer courses that must be implemented soon to Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps personnel located at the Pentagon in Washington, DC 20350-3000. The required training includes Microsoft SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 Upgrade and Migration, SQL Server 2005 and 2008, ASP.NET, and other tools used in the Marine Corps suite of computer services. Learning Tree International has been able to meet the Marine Corps requirement for time-sensitive, highly technical Microsoft SharePoint training with high frequency availability of courses and a progression of classes of different verisons needed to support the current operating environment at Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps and to support the technology to which the Marine Corps will soon be migrating. The location of the company in the National Capital Area has provided a high level of responsiveness to Marine Corps requirements in order to meet urgent computer training needs and to quickly and effectively equip Marines with the necessary computer skills to meet high operational tempo mission requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however firms may provide a capability statement to the Contracting Officer. Capability statements, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses shall be emailed to Mr. John Martin, Contracting Officer, at john.p.martin5@usmc.mil. Closing date for responses is no later than 5:00 pm Eastern Time, 7 December 2011. Late responses will not be considered.
