- The work for this project includes, but is not limited to: Relocation R/W 12R localizer and DME, R/W 30L REIL and Fiber Optics Communications System. Installation of reinforced concrete foundation for the LOC antenna array, equipment shelter, DME antenna mast, and electrical equipment. Relocation of LOC antennas, cable raceway, and distribution unit, relocation of DME antenna mast. Installation of new 10'x16' fiberglass equipment shelter (GFM), secondary power to the existing MALSR distribution rack. Install of lightning protection and grounding system including EES around array and equipment shelter. Relocation of fiber optic equipment and cable to the localizer equipment shelter, installation of junction boxes/splices for power cables feeding R/W 30L GS. Installation of crushed rock surfacing at facility plot. Installation of 12 pair #19 control cable in duct between the LOC site and R/W 30L GS site, and LOC and MALSR shelters. Relocation of existing 10'x16' fiberglass equipment shelter, including external head pump, removal of existing LOC equipment rack, shipment of equipment and antennas to depot. Demolition and restoration of existing LOC sites, including: Removal of existing LOC antenna foundations, as soon as antennas are relocated, removal of concrete foundation, load interrupter switch and transformer, conduit, bollards, crushed rock surfacing, and the above ground field termination unit located at the existing R/W 30L LOC site, restoration of abandoned site. Removal of R/W 12R equipment shelter adjacent engine/generator shelter, site restored as indicated on drawing. Shelter contains ACM floor tile/mastic (see appendix C) which must be disposed of in accordance with state (http//www.dnr.mo.govpub2045.pdf) E/G located in shelter adjacent to 12R LOC shelter and 1000 gallon underground propane tank, must be disposed of IAW state and local regulations. Removal of R/W 30L REIL system, (to each REIL light fixtures and foundation, steel light base hand holes at the R.W 12R equipment shelter ;plot, removal of REIL equipment from shelter, REIL equipment and light fixtures shall be turned over to local FAA personnel. Period of performance 120 calendar days. Estimate price range between $500,000 and $600,000. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE NAICS 237990 - Business size standard - cannot exceed $33.5 million for the firms last three fiscal years. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
