THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. This is one time procurement. The VISN 10 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source porcurement with BioSense Webster Inc. to purchase (8) EA NS7TCJ8L174HSS CATHETER,ABLATION,NAVISTAR DS,QUADRIPOLAR,LENGTH 115 CM,J CURVE, BLACK,1-7-4 MM ELECTRODE SPACING,TIP 8 MM,7 FRENCH, HYPERTRONIC 25-PIN CONNECTOR, STERILE, Disposable, (4) EA NS7TC-F8L-1774-HS CATHETER,ABLATION,NAVISTAR, DS, QUADRIPOLAR,LENGTH 115 CM, F CURVE, ORANGE,1-7-4 MM ELECTRODE SPACING,TIP8 MM,7 FRENCH,HYPERTRONIC 25-PIN CONNECTOR, STERILE, DISPOSABLE and (8) EA XRPP8Y CABLE, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY, EXTERNAL REFERENCE PATCH, 25 PIN, REFSTAR. The procurement will be for the VAMC Cincinnati, Ohio. The estimated amounted is $30,400.00. The Government believes that BioSense Webster Inc. is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required equipment. To the best of our knowledge, BioSense Webster Inc is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112 and the size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement for these required items, which shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statement, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to ronald.heidemann@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM EDT on November 21, 2011. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will proceed with sole source procurement with BioSense Webster Inc.
