- NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NAS, Automation & Facilities Acquisition Division, Logistics Center Product Services Material Management Branch, AML-4060, proposes to acquire by single source acquisition, repair of Infrared Camera's in support of the MSS system for Customs and Border Protection. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a purchase order to Axsys Technologies IR Systems Inc., Nashua, NH. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on, unique qualifications, continuity of services, and time constraints. Configuration Management requirements dictates the use of the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal.
