Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), or for Small Business concerns. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is to perform drydock and repairs to CG 643502, a 64' Aids to Navigation Boat (ANB) homeported at USCG ANT Corpus Christi. The government intends to award one contract as a result of the solicitation. This availability is geographically restricted to a facility located within an area no greater than 350 nautical miles one-way and 700 nautical miles roundtrip from Corpus Christi, TX. The anticipated Period of performance is ninety (90) calendar days, from 13 FEB 2012 to 13 MAY 2012. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, renewing and repairing of various items aboard the CG 643502. This work may include, but is not limited to: 1. Preventive Maintanence, Perform, All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. Contractor shall provide a facility that is currently certified IAW SFLC Standard Specification 8634_STD. Your response you must include the following: (a) A positive statement of your intention to submit a quote for this solicitation as a prime contractor.
