- Bldg 39600 Asbestos Homogeneous Materials List Special Conditions - Nike Site Summit Programmatic Agreement regarding Management of Nike Site Summit This Sources Sought announcement is part of a market survey for information to be used for preliminary acquisition planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District is seeking Small Business sources for the selective demolition and removal of the two story wood frame barracks portion of the existing facility (Building 39600, Battery Control and Barracks building, at the Nike Site Summit near Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson), to include all equipment and hazardous materials. All adjacent concrete portions of the structure and the barracks' concrete foundation are to remain. Openings into remaining portions of the building are to be sealed. All equipment and hazardous materials in remaining portions of the buildings are to be removed. Site Summit is on the National Register of Historic Places. Demolition therefore must be done exactly to the State's Memorandum of Agreement (see attached). Existing security cameras are to be removed from the existing facility prior to demolition and relocated as directed. The access road to Site Summit crosses a live fire military training area and access to the construction site is strictly controlled for safety (see attached "Special Conditions"). The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be less than $2,000,000. The construction period is estimated to be approximately 60 days. All interested Small Businesses are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than 21 November 2011, 4:00 PM Alaska Time, by registering as an interested vendor and submitting all requested documentation listed below to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, ATTN: CEPOA-CT-C/M (Wooldridge), P.O. Box 6898, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK 99506-0898, or preferably via email: kathy.wooldridge@usace.army.mil. NOTE: Due to the recent changes in HUBZone Program re-designated areas as of 1 October 2011, please ensure that if your firm is represented as a certified HUBZone Small Business in your response to this announcement, that your firm is not located in an expired re-designated HUBZone area. Interested small business parties should submit a capabilities package demonstrating the ability to perform work listed above. Packages shall be limited to 5 pages and are to include the following information: (1) Business name, size/designation, and address, (2) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this requirement as a prime contractor, and (3) demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years, by listing the actual construction projects completed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar amount and which functional areas were the responsibility of subcontractors, customer's contact name and phone number for a customer knowledgeable of the work completed. Also, include attachments cataloging the firm's assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate the firm's responsibility and capability to perform the required work. Provide single and aggregate bonding limits. Responsible sources having relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered in validating the project acquisition strategy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, and the related small business size standard is $14.0 million. All interested contactors must be registered in CCR to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
