Description
Markey Survey -- The FAA has a requirement to upgrade the controls on the boilers and chillers at the Salt Lake City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), Salt Lake City, Utah. The scope of work for this project (see attached statement of work) is to furnish all controls, software, wiring, engineering, programming, training, and testing to add to and modify the existing Johnson Controls (JCI) Metasys Direct Digital Control System (DDCS). The existing JCI Metasys system is not open protocol - uses proprietary software and programming language to communicate between building control components and main building control software (JCI Metasys system), so in order to add to or modify the existing DDCS and provide a warranty at the end, Johnson Controls must be used. The anticipated award date is on or before 12/30/2011 with NTP to be determined. At this time, the FAA anticipates that because this work involves modification to an existing DDCS that operates on proprietary software by Johnson Controls, Inc., 2255 Technology Drive, West Valley City, Utah 84199, this requirement maybe awarded to Johnson Controls. The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either a full and open competition or sole source will be chosen depending on the responses to this market surveyThis is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; the FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this market survey; and any costs associated with this market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor's expenseThe NAICS code projected for the procurement is 334513 and applicable size standard is 500 employees.Interested firms are required to submit copies of license, permits or business agreements, etc., to demonstrate their ability and authority to perform the work on the JCI Controls outlined in the attached statement of work. Interested firms are also required to execute and return with their response the attached business declaration form.Responses to this Market Survey are due to be received no later than close of business 4:30 P.M. Pacific Time, November 17, 2011. Submittals can be by email, clarence.davis@faa.gov, fax (425) 227-1055 or hard copy to DOT/Federal Aviation Administration, Acquisition Management Branch, ANM-52, Renton, Washington 98057-3356.
