- CLASSIFICATION CODE: J “ MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND REBUILDING OF EQUIPMENT SUBJECT: INDUSTRIAL CLEANING OF COMBUSTIBLE DUST SOLICITATION NUMBER: M67004-12-Q-0038 The Marine Corps Logistics Command, Contracts Dept. Albany, GA is seeking sources for the purpose of solicitation and ultimately the purchase of Industrial Cleaning services of Combustible Dust for Maintenance Center Barstow California. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. A solicitation may be posted using the solicitation number above once sufficient sources are discovered. Description: CLIN 0001: Combustible Dust Cleaning “ The scope of work will include providing all the labor, materials, rentals, and incidentals needed for the cleaning of both weld facilities and paint shop at Marine Corp Logistics Command, Maintenance Center, Barstow, Ca. The purpose of this requirement is to have a vendor provide OSHA and Environmental approved clean up, and removal during the daily functions of the shop. Contractor must provide service in a way as to not disrupt production in the areas. The contractor must take the appropriate measures to mitigate the impact to MCB ™s production schedules. This may require cleaning services to be performed on second shifts, and / or weekends. Note: Mandatory Site Visit - The site visit is offered on a one time only basis to interested vendors. Quotes submitted by the vendors that attend the site visit will be the only quotes evaluated for award. The site visit is scheduled for (TBA), local pacific time. All interested vendors must notify Mathew Watts by close of business (TBA) EST, via email or telephone if they intend to participate in the site visit. Email is the preferred method. Instructions will be provided by close of business (TBA). Following the site visit all Industrial cleaning procedure details, and quotes should be sent to Mathew Watts using the contact information below for the purpose of evaluation and approval. Performance Objectives: 1. Combustible dust is present in the new consolidated welding facility. The facility is 11,000 square feet with 30 foot high ceilings. Clean up would include dust removal from on top of a mezzanine, insulated walls and the frame infrastructure. Dust is comprised of a variety of metals from sanding, grinding welding and arc-gouging procedures. 2.Combustible dust is present in the old welding facility on top of the break room only, the single story 8 foot tall break room is approximately 600 square feet. Dust is comprised of a variety of metals from sanding, grinding welding and arc-gouging procedures. 3.Combustible dust is present in the old paint shop building 573 this area is approximately 20,000 square feet with 25-30 foot tall ceilings. Also inside this facility dust needs to be removed off of all interior walls and frame infrastructure, clean up would include the roof tops of one primary paint bay, one drying booth, two office space area and one break room, total square footage of secondary building as noted is approximately 3500 square feet. Dust is comprised of metals and paint chips for vehicle preparation and sanding operations. Operating Constraints: 1. Contractor must be familiar with, and abide by, Federal, State, and Local Government OSHA and Environmental Laws (see below).
