- Description
- Document provides summary and detailed description of current contracted efforts. Document contains Market Research questions for industry to respond back to about current market capabilities. The Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) is conducting Market Research to gauge vendor interest in a potential Industry Day and input for the continuation of current contracted efforts providing a full range of unclassified and classified mission essential Information Technology (IT) services to Department of Defense users in the National Capital Region (NCR). Detailed information on current contract scope and questions for industry are attached. This Request for Information (RFI) is not a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Government does not intend to pay for information received in response to this RFI. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with replying to this RFI. The Air Force anticipates this requirement will ultimately be solicited under its "NETCENTS 2" multiple-award contract vehicle once awarded, but may be solicited in any manner consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The AFDW requests interested parties submit responses to the attached questions, as well as capability packages that contain no more than three contract references in the past five years relevant to the requirement to include contract number, agency supported, brief description of effort, prime or subcontractor status, period of performance, original contract value, final or current contract value, technical monitor with contact information. All packages must contain the following information: name and address of responding company, company point of contact, telephone number, fax number and email addresses, and whether entity is a small, disadvantaged, HUB Zone, veteran or women owned status, or 8(a) business. Responses are limited to 25 pages with no less than 1" margins, Times New Roman 12 point font in MS Word or searchable ".pdf" format. Respondents are notified the Government may publish conclusions of its Market Research and any Proprietary data in respondent's submittal should be marked as such. The AFDW is considering hosting an Industry Day to be held in December 2011 or January 2012 in the Washington DC area. Interested parties should submit whether they would be interested in an Industry, what topics they would like covered and what benefit they see from attending an industry day. Vendors are notified to continue watching this site for further information as they will not be contacted individually for updates or invitations.
