Description
Essential Characteristics Checklist Request for Information for Portable and Transport Ventilators Typical ventilator model: Device description: The ventilator shall be a portable and transport ventilator for air and ground movement of patients. The equipment shall be capable of sustaining the ventilation requirements of acutely ill or injured patients during extended transport. The ventilator shall be a self-contained system which shall be capable of supplying 21% to 100% oxygen when provided with a 50-55 psi oxygen source. The breathing circuit shall capable of using a standard disposable universal 22 mm tubing set. Unit shall operate from battery and/or various electrical sources. The unit shall function in an Assist/Control with Volume target, Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation ( IMV) with Volume Target, and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). Advanced ventilator model: Device description: The ventilator shall be a portable and transport ventilator for air and ground movement of patients. The equipment shall be capable of sustaining the ventilation requirements of ill or injured patients during extended transport. The ventilator shall be a self-contained system which is capable of supplying 21 percent to 100 percent oxygen when provided a 50-55 psi oxygen source. Breathing circuit shall capable to use standard disposable universal 22 mm tubing set. Unit shall operate from battery and/or various electrical sources. Unit shall function in an Assist/Control (A/C), Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV), and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) with/without pressure support.
