- Jerseys Women's Short Men' Shorts The 10th Contracting Squadron, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Colorado received a Sole Source justification for the purchase of Cadet Mesh Shorts and Jerseys from Patriot Industries, 1 Quality Drive, Monticello, Kentucky, 42633-0000 as follows: Mens shorts quantity of 2540 (PD 180 A-Short 111007 Womens shorts quantity of 460 (PD 180w Women A-Short 111107) Jerseys quantity of 896 (PD 205 A-Jersey 111006) This procurement is for the acquisition of a sole source commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source and no other item will satisfy the USAFA current requirements conforming to the specifications within the allotted delivery schedule. The North American Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 315211 (Men's and Boy's Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors) and the size standard is 500 employees. Patriot Industries is the only company able to meet our timeline as these items have a long lead time which drives the delivery schedule. The Cadet Wing needs 2540 mens mesh shorts, 460 women's shorts and 896 jerseys to be delivered in time for inprocessing the new class of cadets in June 2012. In addition, the items must meet uniform board standards outlined in the specifications. Any offerors believing they can provide an equal product within the timeline which meets the product specifications to include all features and functionality may provide evidence for consideration. The Government is not responsible for developing the comparison from insufficient information provided. All qualified sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by this agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a brand name or equal procurement, and/or a competitive procurement can be conducted. A determination that equal products exist or a determination to compete this proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received NLT 12:00 pm MDT on 26 October 2011. Responses received after this will be considered late IAW FAR 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated. Delivery is to be made Cadet Issue, the U.S. Air Force Academy, CO 80840. FOB: Destination. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this announcement. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution.
