Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to award a one-year base with four one-year option period, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP)/Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with an ordering ceiling of approximately $41.7M, for Depot Level Repairs, On-Call/On-Site Technical Assistance Support and Reset for the AN/TSC-156 Phoenix Tactical Super High Frequency (SHF) Satellite Terminal (Phoenix) and its components. The authority cited for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is L-3 Communications Systems-West (L-3), P.O. Box 16850, Salt Lake City, Utah. L-3 is the developer and original equipment manufacturer of the Phoenix. L-3 is the only source that possesses the required manufacturing data, which includes drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures for the Phoenix and its components, all of which are required to accomplish depot level repairs, on-call/on-site technical assistance support and reset for the Phoenix. The solicitation will be posted on https://www.fbo.gov on or about 10 November 2011. The anticipated award date is 1 February 2012.
