Description

PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR A NEW MEMORIAL MARKER WALL AT FORT SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY, STURGIS, SOUTH DAKOTA (PROJECT NO. 11-04) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-12-B-0001 for the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for perform work for the NEW MEMORIAL MARKER WALL PLAZA at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN as described herein and other specific tasks in accordance with the drawings and specifications. BID ITEM 1: CONSTRUCTION: NEW MEMORIAL MARKER WALL PLAZA. Work includes but not limited to general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, water storage facilities, and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain of other items. Award will be made on Bid Item 1. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference scheduled. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site. You may schedule an appointment with the cemetery at (612) 467-4619. The cemetery director and cemetery personnel may not answer any questions. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $250,000 and $500,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 150 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237990 SIZE STANDARD: $33.5 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER 100% COMPETITVE SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible SDVOSB business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation For Bid (IFB) details may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be released for issue on or about October 31, 2011. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's Mailing List at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List".
