- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N40442-12-T-7057, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, effective 5 JULY 2011. NAICS code 336611 applies. This is a small business set-aside. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA intends to award a SOLE SOURCE firm fixed price purchase order to Hiller System Inc for USNS BRIDGE for the following services: The requested period of performance for the below service is 21 October 2011 - 6 November 2011. The Contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this Work Item. In performance of this Work Item, the Contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR's. 5.2. The Government will have a paint Representative on site to provide technical assistance, accomplish inspections and provide advice to the MSCREP. It is the Contractor's responsibility to notify the paint Representative and MSCREP for all inspections. 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional. 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED: 7.1. Accomplish the requirements of Para 8, General Requirements, Reference 2.2. 7.2. In addition to the requirements of Reference 2.2, accomplish the following: 7.2.1. With respect to paragraph 1.a of reference 2.2, replace any portable extinguisher requiring hydrostatic testing vice accomplishing the requirements of paragraph 1.a of reference 2.2. 7.2.2. With respect to Reference 2.2, paragraph 1.b estimate 5% of the portable extinguishers will require recharging. Repair or credit for extinguishers above or below this value will be subject to change order. 7.2.3. With respect to Reference 2.2, paragraph 1, (Portable extinguishers) estimate assume that 1% of the portable extinguishers will require hose replacement. Repair or credit for extinguishers above or below this value will be subject to change order. 7.2.4. For estimating purposes, include the Projected Service Requirements listed in Reference 2.3, Section 15, in the contractors bid price. 7.2.5. Provide all original certificates of inspection reports to the Ship's Master/Chief Mate, prior to departing the vessel. 7.2.6.
