Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-12-Q-0094 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, Defense Circular Number 20111004, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2011-0714. This procurement will be 100% set aside for small business under NAICS Code 611699. Purchase the following: 0001- 30 (each) Operational and Emergency Medical Skills (OEMS) Paramedic National Recertification Course; this course instruction is designed to address the medical theory and science behind the special needs of medical providers in the theatre of war. The course addresses the transportation times, unique to military wounding and the pre-hospital environment. The course must provide at a minimum, tactical combat causality care, basic and advanced pre-hospital trauma life support, real casualty data and actual combat experience to include: managing blood loss, airway management, respiratory injury management, circulation shock management, casualty assessment, medical ramifications of blast injury, operational burn injury management, prolong care, advanced wound care management, pain management, maximizing operational performance, field training exercises with tactical relevant scenarios involving care under fire, tactical field care, casevac and prolonged care with live tissue training. The national register paramedic DOT 2-year requirement will be updated for each individual attending and completing the course. The course will be held at the 304th RQS unit address.
