- Description
- This is a presolicitation notice for the Versatile Depot Automatic Test Station (VDATS) program at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. It is anticipated that the request for proposal will be competitive 8A, small business, Indefinite delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The scope of this requirement is to provide Advisory and Assistant Services (A&AS) for engineering services, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), and Technical Order Writing. The contractor shall provide the Government with the software and hardware engineering services required for the sustainment of the VDATS program to include software and hardware engineering services as required for the sustainment VDATS program. The sustainment activities include the delivery of Test Program Sets (TPS). The TPS is defined as the software and hardware necessary to test a Unit Under Test (UUT) on the host Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). The TPS includes the Interface Test Adapter (ITA) and the ancillary equipment necessary to augment the capability of the Host ATE Test Station. The software sustainment activities include the establishment of TPS on the Host ATE (Target ATE) platform. The contractor may be assigned to establish new TPSs, and/or assigned to establish new portions of one or more existing TPSs. The contractor shall support the software sustainment of test program sets which includes performing feasibility studies, performing analyses of UUT test requirements, performing gap analyses between the UUT test requirements and the host ATE, establishing or modifying hardware and software documentation, coding software test programs and the integration and testing of the TPS on the host ATE. The UUTs are often circuit card assemblies or boxes containing several circuit card assemblies. The actual effort for each TPS will be determined based upon the feasibility study and gap analysis. The contractor shall also be required to write and document Technical Orders (T.O.) and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) files. This effort will have a basic ordering period and four one year options. It is anticipated that the request for proposal will be competitive 8A, small buisness, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
