- The St Louis Job Corps is requesting quotes for linen/laundry services for the Residential Living Dormitories and Wellness Center located at the 4333 Goodfellow. The quoted prices shall be for 2 year base and 3 one year options. The Center is seeking service from qualified linen service contractors who will provide vendor owned linens and launder same on a weekly schedule. Vendor will provide clean linens on a regularly scheduled day each week as determined by mutual agreement between vendor and residential living staff. Vendor will provide clean linens to each Dormitory and Wellness Center on vendor furnished linen carts. Three carts will be prepared for the Dormitories (one for each Dorm building). Each of these carts will contain 140 white extra long twin flat sheets, 140 white extra long twin fitted sheets, and 140 white pillow cases. A cart will be prepared for the Wellness Center containing 40 white standard twin sheets, 40 white standard twin fitted sheets, 30 white hospital blankets, and 40 white pillow cases. Each cart will be delivered by the vendor to the appropriate building on Center. Staff will unload and distribute linens that day then load the soiled linens onto the carts. Vendor will pick up the carts of soiled linens on the next day. All linens will be counted when delivered and when picked up. Contractor shall provide a delivery ticket each week indicating description of items delivered and quantity. Tickets will be signed by vendor and Center designees. All signed tickets are to be hand carried that same day to Center Finance department. Center may change usage quantities during the contract period and will provide 30 day notice written notice of change to the vendor. Center will from time to time issue a verbal call to the vendor for certain linens because of limited one time unusual usage on Center. For example, Wellness Center may have an increased need for linens one week due to Flu season. Director of Administrative Services, Director of Residential Living, Manager of Wellness, or Supervisor of Purchasing is authorized to make that verbal call. The Center has 2 vacation breaks for the students which are two weeks around Christmas and 2 weeks around the 4 th of July. During the breaks, linen service will not be needed and Center will not be invoiced for those time periods. Vendor will be notified 30 days in advance when the specific dates of the breaks are known. Pricing for proposed quotes shall be no higher than what would be quoted to "best" commercial customers and/or to agencies of the United States. Quotes shall fully disclose any fuel surcharges, waste water fees, energy fees, taxes, or any other charges, if any. Vendors will provide a sample of a monthly billing statement. Vendors will include copies of insurance, experience, current customer list, and any applicable licenses or permits. The St Louis Job Corps Center reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. Lowest pricing or overall bid does not constitute a bid award. The Center will be the sole judge of which offer is selected for approval. Any agreements may be terminated with respect to the remaining term of the agreement, at any given time by either party upon a written notice to the other effective thirty (30) days after acknowledged receipt of said notice. This service is subject to the provisions of the Service Contract Act where contractors and all subcontractors must comply with the current Department of Labor Area Wage Determination. Quotes must be received in the Purchasing Department, St Louis Job Corps, 4333 Goodfellow Blvd, St. Louis MO 63120 by November 9, 2011 at which time they will be reviewed. Quotes sent by email are acceptable. Anticipated install date is approximately December 1, 2011. Additional information may be obtained by contacting the St. Louis Job Corps Center between the hours of 8:00 am through 4:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday.
