Description
DRAFT PWS Hospital Aseptic Management Services (HAMS) THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research relative to the Hospital Aseptic Management Services (HAMS) requirement. This RFI announcement is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The information from this RFI is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The Government's acquisition strategy continues to develop and if and when a solicitation is issued, it will include a sample task and site visit information. This announcement is specifically targeted for interested, qualified small businesses that can perform the services required as stated in the DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) titled Hospital Aseptic Management Services (HAMS) dated 2 Aug 11. This is a non-personal services effort to provide certified medical housekeepers, and janitorial custodians to implement the United States Air Force (USAF) HAMS services at USAF Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) throughout the Continental United States (CONUS). This program provides for aseptic cleaning, protection, and beautification of all rooms and areas identified for coverage at a particular installation to maintain a level of asepsis commensurate with the use of the facility, rooms, and areas. The three general requirements for aseptic management are: 1) aseptic cleaning, which is the removal of soil from surfaces; 2) protection, which is preventing damage to surfaces and equipment caused by normal use or improper cleaning procedures; and 3) beautification which is accomplished through aseptic cleaning and protection to provide a beneficial psychologically impression as it boosts patient, staff, and visitor morale. The 773rd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (773 ESS) is seeking responses to the questions listed below. Please provide your responses on company letterhead to the Point of Contact (POC) identified at the end of this RFI. 1. Please provide the name, address, DUNS and CAGE Code of company 2. Are you considered a small business under NAICS 561720? 3. Does your company fall under a Socio Economic or disadvantage business category? If so, please identify. 4. Is your firm currently International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certified? If not, please clearly state how your company plans to obtain ISSA CIMS certification within 30 days of the contract's start date if made as a requirement in the soliciation. A team member or major subcontractor may not be used to satisfy this requirement. 5. Based on the information provided in the attached PWS, do you have enough information to provide an accurate proposal? If not, what additional information can the Government provide to assist you in creating a more accurate proposal? Interested parties must send their responses to this RFI, no later than (NLT) 12 Noon Central Standard Time (CST), 17 October 2011 to cynthia.lattimore@us.af.mil. The Government reserves the right to use the information provided by any respondent for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Do not submit any proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information in your response. Information submitted will become the property of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation.
