- Statement of Work (Cummins and Caterpillar Generator Maintenance) Cummins Generators Maintenance Checklist #4 through 6 Caterpillar Generator Maintenance Checklist #1 through #3 The USDA, National Information Technology Center (NITC) is seeking to acquire expert technical support to provide on-site generator maintenance and emergency repair services at the Kansas City, Missouri location. There are three 3500 Series 100KW Caterpillar generators and three QST30 Series KW Cummins Generators at this location that require monthly, quarterly, annual, and three-year on-site maintenance. The preventive checks and services include, but are not limited to, the care, servicing, inspection, detection and correction of minor discrepancies before these discrepancies can cause serious damage, failure or injury per the statement of work and maintenance schedules. Due to the types of generators on-site, the contractor will be required to have thorough knowledge and experience in order to perform the services required. All personnel who perform work on the generators shall be qualified to work on the specific make and model of equipment covered under this SOW. Qualifications shall be presented prior to contract award. All laborers shall be licensed for the craft/or trade involved and shall be to best standards of workmanship for respective equipment to meet the requirements of the manufacturers preventative maintenance plan. The contractor will be required to be on-site at the USDA NITC facility within one hour of notification if there is an emergency repair and will remain on-site until emergency has been resolved and accepted by the Contracting Officer Technical Representative. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at www.ccr.gov. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation exists for this requirement. A determination by the government will be made if a competitive procurement is warranted. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
