Description

SLAC seeks vendors that can provide the following: 1 Each Brand Name or Equal Product: Amsterdam Scientific Instruments Quad Timepix X-Ray Camera System. Low-Noise, Fast Frame Rate Detector for X-ray Correlation Spectroscopy with the following Salient Characteristics/ Specifications: 1) Minimum read-out frame rate of 60 Hz with 120 Hz preferred. 2) Triggered by external signal to allow synchronization with a light source. 3) Square pixels with sides of less than 60 micrometers 4) Array size of at least 100,000 pixels. 5) Linear response to signals equivalent to twenty 8,000 eV x-rays or higher. 6) Single pixel noise level equivalent to less than 900 eV of signal. 7) Energy integrating not photon counting design. 8) Detector head weight should be under ten pounds. 9) Detector head volume should be less than half a cubic foot. 10) Entrance window should transmit over 95 percent of 8,000 eV x-rays. 11) Entrance window should be opaque to visible and near visible light. 12) Detector quantum efficiency should exceed 98 percent for 8,000 eV x-rays. 13) Radiation tolerance - should function after a fluence of 1 x 1015 8,000 eV photons per square centimeter. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. VENDORS INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SOURCE SHOULD IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS AN "INTERESTED PARTY" VIA THE FBO PORTAL.
