- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) intends to issue a contract to Mobile Mini Inc, Colorado Springs, CO through solicitation no. W91260-11-T-0033 pursuant to the authority of FAR Parts 12 and 13.106-1(b) sole source acquisitions. Mobile Mini Inc will be providing rental of two (2) 24'x 60' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers and replacing rental of existing 12' x 60' Modular Office Trailer with rental of a 12' x 60' Modular Office Trailer with Bathroom for US Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC) Battle Lab, Colorado Springs CO for additional year. Replacement includes knockdown and pickpu of the existing 12' x 60' trailer and delivery, setup, and skirting for the new 12' x 60' trailer with bathroom, and remove and rebuild stairs between doors; including fuel surcharges. Period of Performance is 25 Sep 2011 - 22 Sep 2012 for the two 24' x 60' trailers (13 four week rental periods). Period of Performance is 04 Oct 2011 - 03 Sep 2012 for the 12' x 60' trailer (11 monthly rental periods). The required rental includes skirting for the two 24'x 60' double-wide trailers. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. The proposed contract action is for lease/rental for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The two (2) 24' x 60' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers and one (1) 12'x 60' Office Trailer are currently rented from Mobile Mini Inc and in use by SMDC Battle Lab. Mobile Mini Inc is the only source capable of providing rental renewal for these three existing office trailers for an additional year. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition to the extent consistent with a sole source acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
