THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to issue a fixed priced contract award on a sole source basis to SOUTH BAY ROD & GUN CLUB, INC for use of their facility by EODTEU ONE for small arms training for FY12. This product is a commercial item as defined in FAR Part 2. The procurement will be processed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b). No solicitation exists for this requirement. It is determined that SOUTH BAY ROD & GUN CLUB, INC is the only shooting range in San Diego county that has the space required to accommodate the various drills and exercises in the training plan, and is approved for use by COMNAVSURFOR under MSG DTG 242335Z SEP 09. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 713990 for All Other Amusement and Recreation Industries. Interested parties capable of satisfying this requirement may submit offers in the form of capability statements not to exceed three (3) pages in length describing expert knowledge and responsibility to produce the product to the point of contact no later than 9:00 am September 28, 2011 Pacific Standard Time via email. Cabana, Contract Specialist, Email: isabelito.cabana@navy.mil Responses to this notice of intent are subject to evaluation, and a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, NAVSUP FLC San Diego will proceed with the sole source award. Mandatory terms and conditions of Federal Acquisition Regulations 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 will apply to the anticipated award wherever applicable. The acquisition process is conducted under FAR Part 12 - Acquisitions of Commercial Items. Award shall be pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 13.501-(a)(1) using simplified acquisition procedures.
