Description
Work is located at Building 171, Randolph AFB, Texas. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment for removing and replacing electrical, structure and mechanical systems to prepare 18 Bays for the installation of new vehicle lifts that will be purchased and installed at a later date. Contractor is not responsible for the installation of the new vehicle lifts. All work shall conform to American Concrete Institute (ACI) specifications and meet all current Federal, State, AF Facilities, and local requirements. The procurement will be issued as a firm fixed-price contract open to all Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business concerns under NAICS 238110, Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors. The existing work bays (East Bay 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and West Bay 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) of Building 171 consist of a compound floor slope design that is unsuitable for safe, efficient vehicle repair work. Equipment in a vehicle maintenance facility must be positioned on a consistently level floor surface in order to be properly and safely operated. The slope of each work bay area was originally intended to channel fluid into the shop floor drains. However, most of the fluid drains into the lift wells and ultimately causes damage to the Below Ground Lift (BGL) systems. This project shall provide level floors for new lifts to be operated safely. The Contractor shall construct floor slabs in accordance with design drawings and Statement of Work. This is contract award for Solicitation #FA3089-11-R-0027.
