Description
The U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri intends to issue solicitation RFQP04141100045 for the provision of Asbestos Removal Services for multiple areas located inside the secure perimeter at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. Contractor will provide labor, equipment, materials and expertise to remove and properly dispose of asbestos containing material at the U. S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners. The government estimates are as follows: 1) 64 linear feet of 6 inch asbestos pipe insulation that currently has stachybotrys mold on it in the 2 Building Exit Hallway 2) 7 linear feet of 1 inch asbestos pipe insulation in the Environmental Health area 3) 125 square feet of asbestos insulation on a large hot water tank in the 1 Building Sub-basement 4) 3 linear feet of 2 inch asbestos pipe insulation in Computer Services. The period of performance will be twenty (20) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The North American Industrial Classification System (NACIS) code is 238990 with the size standard of $14 million. The solicitation is 100% set aside for small business, FOB Destination, and firm fixed price. Security investigations and subsequent clearances issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons will be required for all staff who perform any contract activity on the institution property. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 4, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http:www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the quotation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this quotation, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is October 18, 2011. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). United States Residency requirements are applicable to this solicitation. Quoting officials and contractor employees working under this contract on federal grounds will be required to sign a certification that for three of the last five years immediately prior to responding to this solicitation, the quoter has: resided in the United States; worked for the U.S. oversees in a federal or military capacity; or has been a dependent of a federal or military employee serving oversees. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Per FAR 52.212-3, an offeror may complete their representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. If not completed online, a hard copy is required. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
