Description
The purpose of this amendment is to correct the "Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source." 1. Replace the first paragraph to read: THIS IS NOT REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (5) and 15 USC 657(f) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5(b)(6) Sole Source Awards under the Veteran Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. 657 (f)). 2. Third paragraph: Correct the last sentence to read: Market research was performed and information gathered in determining this company to be the only Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) source for this requirement. 3. Fourth paragraph: Add the following sentence to the fourth paragraph: Only SDVOSB vendors should reply. 4. Fifth paragraph: Replace the fifth paragraph with the following: Neubert Aero Corp (NAC) is a service-disabled veteran owned small business who can provide the service of runway friction testing. IAW FAR 19.1406, the contracting officer has determined that NAC has met all the requirements. a. The Contracting Officer does not have a reasonable expectation that offers will be received from two or more service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. b. The anticipated award of the contract including options will not exceed $3.5 million. c. The requirement is not currently being performed by an 8(a) participant under provisions of subpart 19.8 nor has been accepted as a requirement by SBA under subpart 19.8. d. Award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. 5. See attached corrected copy dated 20 September 2011 with all changes reflected above.
