Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA contemplates negotiation of sole source procurement with the University of Clemson, Sponsored Programs Administration, E-204 Martin Hall, Clemson SC 29634-5326, and the Ralph Johnson VA Medical Center, Columbia SC. The University of Clemson will train VA staff to become Health and Wellness Coach Trainers. University of Clemson will develop a health coach training curriculum and the material to be used with patients; evaluation plan to assess effectiveness of health coach training criteria, and the effectiveness of services provided to veterans by trained health coaches. Implementation of training program will provide training to nurses, pharmacists, social workers, nutritionists, recreational therapist and others in the medical field. The NAICS code for this procurement is 611430 with a standard size of $7.0 MIL. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature detailing how their product/services meet VA requirements to the contract specialist or by fax at 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
