- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small businesses to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman-Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in the project respond appropriately. The planned requirement is waste collection and recycling services within Bryce Canyon National Park, Garfield County, Utah. The contractor will be required to provide all equipment, personnel, and management oversight to collect trash and co-mingled recycling on a regular schedule to dispose of according to applicable Federal, State, County, and local laws, regulations, policies, and best practices. Co-mingled recycling currently includes plastics, papers, cardboard, some metal, and a separate bin for glass. Contractor must be able to obtain permits within Utah for refuse/recycling disposition as required. NAICS Code is 562111 Garbage Collection and Recycleable Material Collection Services The estimated performance period is year-round (weekly pick up) with frequency during the week changing according to seasonal tourism requirements. Peak season at Bryce Canyon National Park is April - October. All interested certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman-Owned, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 23 September 2011,4:30 PM MST. Responses should include: (1) identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Experience - provide descriptions of up to three (3) projects that your firm completed or substantially completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include the timely removal of refuse and recycleable materials and proper disposal as described above. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and the portion and percentage of work that was self performed. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed.
