- Description
- This presolicitation notice replaces the one previously issued on August 16, 2011 under solicitation number R11PS34241 to correct the solicitation number. The correct solicitation number for this procurement is R11PS34011. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for repair or replacement of canal lining and structures at various locations in Yuma County, AZ, including southern Yuma County near the U.S. border with Mexico. The requirement covers all the labor, materials and equipment necessary for saw cutting, demolition, and removal of designated lining or concrete structures, legal disposal of demolished materials, earthwork for pipeline installation including jack and bore requirements if applicable, lining repair and canal replacement, designated lining replacement, concrete lining expansion joint construction and installation, removing of old joint sealant and furnishing and installing new approved sealant, furnishing and installing designated drainage piping, furnishing and installing precast or constructing reinforced concrete cast-in-place headwalls and outfall structures. The solicitation is being issued under RFP R11PS34011 and will be a fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this project is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction with a corresponding small business size standard of $33.5M. The Government intends to award a single award under this IDIQ contract with a performance period of three years. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated to be between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This opportunity is limited to companies under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program. There will be no public bid opening as competitive proposals will be evaluated and award made utilizing lowest-price, technically acceptable, FAR Part 15 rules, and in accordance with the evaluation criteria included in the RFP. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price IDIQ type of contract. All interested parties are responsible for checking the FBO website to ensure that they have the most current information. Offerors are required to have a current registration on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract award. Offerors may register on CCR at http://www.ccr.gov. The solicitation and any amendments to the solicitation will be available through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) (www.fedbizopps.gov) web site under solicitation number R11PS34241. The extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted on or about August 31, 2011. A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be held on or about September 15, 2011. Responses will be due on or about September 30, 2011. All dates in this announcement are estimated and are subject to change. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. The Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD if the FBO web site becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register at FBO to be included on the offeror list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation or visit the FBO web site after issuance of the solicitation in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices.
