- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at http://www.acquisition.gov/far. The solicitation number is P11PX21712, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns, NAICS 336112, Light Trucks and Utility Vehicles, with a small business size standard of fewer than 1,000 employees. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned businesses. The Government intends to issue a single firm-fixed price contract to the responsive, responsible offeror that represents the best value and can best satisfy the objectives and requirements of this solicitation, in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government will consider past performance in determining responsibility. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. DESCRIPTION: The National Park Service has a requirement to purchase a Nordic (or cross-country) snow groomer for maintaining ski trails at Craters of the Moon National Park as detailed below. SPECIFICATIONS: The unit must be a machine designed primarily for cross-country (Nordic) snow grooming and track setting. It needs to have room in the cab for an operator and one passenger, have rubber tracks so that the tracks do not tear up paved surfaces during contact with pavement, have a plow or blade to level snow and have all attachments necessary to groom and set track. The grooming equipment, blade and track setting equipment needs to be hydraulically operated so that these attachments can be raised, lowered and adjusted by the operator from the cab of the vehicle. The machine needs to be designed so that it can safely move over snow covered surfaces while pulling snow grooming attachments. The machine width should not be greater than 11 foot wide including blade and grooming equipment and not be over 10 feet high. Prices shall include delivery, FOB Destination to Craters of the Moon National Monument, located 18 miles southwest of Arco, ID, 83213. The vendor shall provide initial setup and training. Delivery must be 30 days ARO or better. PRICE SCHEDULE:Nordic Snow Groomer, FOB Destination, with setup and training1 ea @ $____________.
