- THIS AMENDMENT IS ISSUED TO EXTEND THE ANNOUNCMENT CLOSING DATE FROM aUGUST 4, 2011 TO SEPTEMBER 16, 2011. ALL INTERESTED FIRMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Please read all requirements carefully before responding to this announcement. Posting: In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's Acquisition Management System, 3.2.1.2.12 (FAAAMS), the Western Pacific Region is seeking competent and qualified Contractors interested in providing offers to Upgrade the Viking Fire Alarm System at Oakland ARTCC, Fremont, CA. Work will consist of labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the work in accordance with the scope of work for the Upgrade the Viking Fire Alarm System at Oakland ARTCC. Scope of work includes the following but is not limited to: The contractor must provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to Upgrade the Viking Fire Alarm System at the Oakland ARTCC. Work includes but is not limited to upgrade existing Firecycle II systems to Firecycle III systems, rewire existing Firecycle III systems control panel pressure switch inputs in accordance with Viking installation instructions, set all soak timers to 5 minutes on all Firecycle systems, provide and install system isolation test valves and tamper switches as required on the drawings, provide and install flow pressure switches as required on the drawings, modify existing sprinkler piping in the Control Room Basement to reposition sprinkler heads to within 6 inches of the ceiling, provide additional thermal detectors as indicated in the drawings in the Automation Wing Basement, repair leaks in the trim piping as indicated in the drawings, perform acceptance test for all Firecycle systems (8 total) at the facility, interface new flow pressure switch and tamper switch with the building's fire alarm system, re-wire, re-terminate and reprogram building fire alarm system with Firecycle control panel per standard practices as indicated on the drawings, test and re-certify existing building fire alarm system upon completion of work, fire alarm testing and Firecycle system testing shall be coordinated, new and existing penetration for conduit/cabling runs installed during this project shall be firestopped per project specifications. All other requirement will be included in the scope of work. The following criteria will apply:1.This procurement is a full and open competition 2.The estimate dollar range for this project is between $250,000.00 to$500,000.003.The offeror must have the financial resources to sustain all contract activities, such as, insurance, bonding, mobilization, equipment, labor and material costs.4.The contractor is expected to perform at least 25% of the work utilizing their own employees.5.The contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov 6.Work hours will be performed during the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with some evening work to be coordinated with the Resident Engineer and should be at no extra cost to the Federal Government.7.Contractor Must complete the attached Business Declaration and send with your request to be added to the bidders list. Sir Description: The Federal Aviation Administration Western-Pacific Region; Hereby announces its intention to solicit a request for Offers (RFO). Awards resulting from the (RFO) will be based on lowest priced, technically acceptable offer to the FAA giving consideration to: (1) Total cost to the FAA, and (2) Offeror's past performance and experience with the same or similar work. The successful offeror shall provide labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to Upgrade the Viking Fire Alarm System at Oakland ARTCC, Fremont, CA. Note: All Vendors that reply to the announcement must be registered in Central Contractors Registration (CCR) in order to do Business with the FAA: WWW.CCR.GOV. Solicitation will only be issued to Vendors that reply to the announcement by the closing date. The Project Consist of the Construction to Upgrade the Viking Fire Alarm System at Fremont ARTCC. This specification, together with the reference specifications, standards and drawings specified in the Contract Documents, covers the requirements for all work associated with upgrade of the Viking Fire Alarm System at Oakland ARTCC, Fremont, CA. The contractor must provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision in strict accordance with these specifications and drawings, and all materials not specifically listed on the Government-Furnished Property list. T3.6.1 - Small Business Development Program (Revision 24, January 2010) Small Business Development 5: Bonding Assistance and the DOT Lending Program (Revised 4/2009) a.
