- Description
- This DRAFT PWS details the requirement for which this Sources Sought/RFI is inquiring for potential vendors. This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for a Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. AMIC is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the government. This request for information is in accordance with the acquisition policy as stated in Part 10, Market Research, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) that market research may involve interactive on-line communication between government and industry. The Air Combat Command Acquisition and Management Integration Center, (ACC AMIC), Langley AFB VA, is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide a solution for a Wireless Hands-Free Internal Communication Device (WHICD) system to be implemented in a DoD hospital. The Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) plans to adopt a Wireless and Hands-free Internal Communication Device (WHICD) to make the current communication system within the AF Medical Treatment Facilities (AF MTF) more efficient. The purpose of this requirement is to study the diffusion of a commercially available off the shelf WHICD system into the active culture of an AF MTF to determine how best to employ a WHICD into the remaining AF MTFs. The majority dollar amount of this requirement includes commodities; the rest is services. This requirement would include the vendor's design, engineer, furnish, deliver, install and test a 250-user wireless and hands-free internal communication device (WHICD) system, ensure it is fully operating and free of engineering, installation, system operation and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) defects. This system needs to provide a "turnkey" installation with integration into the existing telephony and GE-Telligence Nurse Call System. Please see the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) for details of the requirement. This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for a Proposal (RFP).
