- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W81EWF12075858 is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-52. This requirement is unrestricted under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 with a Small Business size standard of 500 employees. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office, has a requirement for the purchase of a High Screening Content (HSC) Cellular Analyzer. Line Item 0001: Provide one (1) High Screening Content (HSC) Cellular Analyzer in accordance with the specifications below, Quantity 1, Unit: Each, Unit Price_______, Total Amount____________. (Please include shipping costs) A HSC cellular analyzer contains a wild field microscope with non-confocal optical sectioning tools for imaging samples, a computer workstation, and software is needed to record and analyze the signals generated by the detector. The HSC cellular analyzer must have the following specifications: Installable on a standard bench without the requirement of an anti-vibration table Modular capability for adding new features to the analyzer (e.g., new light sources, liquid handler, emission filter wheel) Brightfield microscopy Fully automated Zeiss Axiovert Z1 observer microscope optical bench LED light source with 5 color capability Light source uniformity Laser autofocus Image autofocus Capable of imaging from flat bottom plates, petri dishes, cover glass, slides, and custom plates Ability to scan plates in under 4 minutes Contains a high-resolution, shutterless thermoelectrically cooled 12 bit (4096 greyscales) CCD camera with 1024x1024 pixel chip size Live cell chamber that controls carbon dioxide (0-10% saturation), temperature (ambient to 45 C), and humidity (maintains greater than 90% relative humidity). Liquid handling capability Real-time analysis of organisms (e.g., fish embryos) in test plates Advanced informatics infrastructure Guided workflow software that allows real-time analysis during image acquisition Sophisticated, validated image processing algorithms designed for at least 15 different biological applications Integrated on the fly analysis capability Independent validation in peer-reviewed publications Excellent technical support with 24 hour turn-around time for service issues, toll-free technical support hot-line and email for troubleshooting, and remote assistance Multi-day training classes run by a company application specialist One year warranty Delivery shall be made within 30 days from date of award.
