Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is MDRO0053 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 114119 with a small business size standard of $4.00M.This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2011-09-19 13:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Amherst, NY 14228 The DOI Fish & Wildlife Service requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Fish and Wildlife Service at Lower Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office in Amherst, New York is seeking a 21 Foot ?Electrofisher Boat? for field work on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie as well as larger river systems. Electrofishing boat specifications include:An elclosed marine-grade GPP generator that will pass U.S. coast Guard inspections; shore-based generators will not pass inspection. The generator needs to have water-cooled exhaust, heat reflecting and sound-deadening housing, and a forced-air ventilation system, for safety and longevity of the generator. Steering and GPP control consoles should be intergrated for ease of operator use and safety of the crew. A 90 gallon live well is required, which includes water circulation and aeration for fish health as well as interior lighting for night work. A live well of this size is needed to accommodate lake sturgeon work. Requires at least a 50 gallon built in fuel take. This allows for crew movement and safety and facilitates extended operation. Work deck surface should be composed of dri-deck material for safety reasons. High gunwales (30 inches high) and transom (25 inches high) are another feature that is essential for crew safety.
