- SYNOPSIS FOR 15,000 ™ OF PORTABLE POWER CABLE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. The solicitation number is SPMYM2-11-T-0416 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for supplies, unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. DLA Maritime “ Puget Sound issuing a solicitation and subsequently a firm fixed price type contract for the procurement of 15,000 ™ of portable power cable in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF in Bremerton, WA 98314. Requirements: CLIN 0001 “ 15,000 ™ of Portable Power Cable Specifications: Portable Power Cable, 500 MCM, Single conductor, 90 Deg. Centigrade, 2,000 Volt, Black jacket, Type W, UL or CSA listed or labeled, Minimum 500 ™ lengths on non-returnable reels. The cable jacket shall be embossed, not ink stamped or stenciled, with at a minimum the following: Manufacturer or Brand, Size, Type designation, Conductor quantity, Voltage rating, Temperature rating, and UL/CSA approval designation. Delivery: Shipping must be free on board (FOB) destination CONUS (Continental U.S.), which means that the seller must deliver the goods on its conveyance at the destination specified by the buyer, and the seller is responsible for the cost of shipping and risk of loss prior to actual delivery at the specified destination. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 331422 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside and only qualified quoters may submit quotes. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website https://www.neco.navy.mil/. Prospective quoters are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the quoter to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. The solicitation shall be posted on or about 06 September 2011 with a response date of on or about 20 September 2011. The buyer will NOT provide a hard copy of the Solicitation package. Quoter must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award can be made to them. If the quoter is not registered in the CCR, it may do so through the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov.
